Towner Eastbourne is the main contemporary art gallery for the South East and it's right in the heart of town, so you don't have to go far to find it. You'll find it at Devonshire Park, College Road, Eastbourne, East Sussex BN21 4JJ, just behind the seafront and next to the Congress Theatre and Winter Garden. It's part of the Devonshire Quarter, so everything is really walkable. Being so central, there is loads nearby. Right outside you have Devonshire Park itself and the lovely seafront is only a couple of minutes away, with Eastbourne Pier and the beach promenade. If you like museums, the Eastbourne Lifeboat Museum is along the front, and the Redoubt Fortress & Military Museum is at the other end of Royal Parade. For a bit more history, you have the Wish Tower Martello Tower just by the seafront, and Pevensey Castle is a short drive out of town with its huge Roman and Norman walls. If you want some fresh air after the gallery, Beachy Head and the South Downs National Park are right on your doorstep for those classic white cliff views.
