Bexhill-on-Sea United Kingdom
Bexhill Museum is a lovely little independent museum right by the seafront in Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex, and it's perfect if you are already having a wander along the coast. You will find it at Egerton Road, Bexhill-on-Sea, East Sussex TN39 3HL, tucked just behind the seafront gardens and the seafront road, very close to the town centre. It's a small building but packed with local history, dinosaurs and even an old Eddie Izzard exhibition. Being so central you have loads nearby. Right on the seafront is the famous De La Warr Pavilion, which is a big art deco art gallery and concert venue, always worth a look. The beach itself is right there, and you have the Bexhill seafront promenade for a nice walk. If you like more history, Bexhill Old Town is a short walk inland with its historic manor house and old church. A bit further out you can visit Pevensey Castle and the 1066 Battle of Hastings site, both just a short drive away. And if you fancy a bigger day, Eastbourne with its Redoubt Fortress and Towner Gallery is not far along the coast either.
