Haynes Motor Museum is Somerset’s flagship destination for motoring enthusiasts, home to the largest collection of cars in the UK open to the public. Founded by John Haynes, creator of the famous Haynes Manuals, the museum celebrates more than a century of automotive innovation through over 400 vehicles displayed across themed galleries. One of the most striking spaces is the Red Room, a vibrant showcase of sports cars from across eras, where Ferraris, Alfa Romeos and other icons sit side by side. The American Dream gallery highlights the bold styling of classic Cadillacs, Mustangs and Corvettes, while the Motorsport Hall traces racing history through rally legends, Formula One machines and rare competition vehicles. Inside, visitors can explore the Evolution of the Car exhibition, which charts technological progress from early motor‑carriages to modern engineering. The Motorcycle Mezzanine adds another dimension with vintage bikes, scooters and racing machines. Interactive displays, restoration workshops and hands‑on activities help explain how engines, bodywork and design have changed over time.
