Reimagined as a performing arts venue in 2017, it offers four distinctive spaces, including a 300‑seat main hall, an intimate cabaret café‑bar, a versatile basement, and attic studios. Founded by Olivier Award‑winning director and ballet dancer Peter Schaufuss, the theatre quickly became a vibrant hub for theatre, comedy, music, dance, and cabaret, with a strong presence during the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The Rose Theatre Café, opened in 2018, added a welcoming social space for audiences and artists alike.
