Tinnerö Eklandskap Nature Reserve is one of Linköping’s most expansive and ecologically rich landscapes, offering a rare blend of open meadows, ancient oak pastures, wetlands, and quiet forest paths. Once part of a historic agricultural estate, the area has been carefully restored to preserve its traditional grazing environments, creating a haven for biodiversity. Visitors can encounter grazing cattle, bird‑rich wetlands, and centuries‑old oaks that define the character of the Östergötland countryside. The reserve is crisscrossed by well‑marked trails that invite walking, cycling, and nature observation, with peaceful lakes and lookout points providing moments of reflection. Throughout the seasons, Tinnerö shifts from vibrant spring blooms to golden autumn fields, making it a favourite destination for both everyday recreation and deeper immersion in nature. Tinnerö Eklandskap Nature Reserve is located just southeast of Linköping city centre, in the Tinnerö area with the main access around the Tinnerö bus stop and surrounding residential streets such as Tanneforsvägen and Trädgårdstorget. The reserve sits close to the city’s southern urban edge and is easily reached from the city centre, with nearby points such as Lill‑Valla lekpark, Östergötlands Järnvägsmuseum, Rundlogen, Sankt Hans kyrka, and several small lakes and walking and cycling paths that link the residential districts with the open oak‑rich landscape.
