The House of Leaves, officially known as the Museum of Secret Surveillance, is located at Rruga Dëshmorët e 4 Shkurtit in the heart of Tirana, directly across from the city’s Orthodox Cathedral and close to the National Bank of Albania. This two-story villa, covered in climbing plants, was once the headquarters of the Sigurimi, Albania’s infamous secret police, and now offers a powerful look at the country’s communist-era surveillance practices.
