Pleven Panorama “Pleven Epopee 1877” is one of Bulgaria’s most dramatic historical monuments, created to honor the decisive Siege of Pleven during the Russo‑Turkish War. Opened in 1977 for the centenary of the battle, it is one of the largest panoramic installations in Europe, combining painting, sculpture, and real objects to immerse visitors in the events that led to Bulgaria’s liberation. Inside, the circular hall houses a 115‑meter‑long panoramic painting that blends seamlessly with a three‑dimensional foreground of trenches, cannons, uniforms, and battlefield terrain.
