HorsePower – The Museum of the King’s Royal Hussars, located within Winchester’s historic Peninsula Barracks, offers a dynamic and visually rich exploration of one of Britain’s most storied cavalry regiments. Blending military history with striking artefacts, it traces the regiment’s evolution from sabre‑wielding horsemen to modern armoured troops. One of the most captivating displays is the collection of original cavalry uniforms, showing how the regiment’s distinctive colours and elaborate braid developed over two centuries.
