Pegasus Theatre, located on Magdalen Road in East Oxford, has been a vibrant hub for creativity for over 50 years, dedicated to theatre made for, by, and with young people from diverse backgrounds. Known for its inclusive ethos, it offers an inspiring mix of professional performances, community projects, and opportunities for emerging talent. Its intimate 133-seat auditorium hosts an eclectic programme ranging from contemporary drama and dance to puppetry, comedy, and family shows. At the heart of its work are the Pegasus Young Companies, who each year create and perform full-scale productions, alongside a rich programme of drama and dance classes for ages 0–25. The theatre also runs specialist projects supporting vulnerable young people, refugees, and aspiring artists, ensuring accessibility and affordability remain central to its mission. With its welcoming atmosphere and commitment to nurturing the next generation of performers and audiences, Pegasus Theatre is a cornerstone of Oxford’s cultural life.
