The Steno Museum is located in the southern part of Aarhus University’s campus at C.F. Møllers Allé 2, 8000 Aarhus C, within the green University Park just a 10-minute walk northwest of Aarhus Cathedral and the historic city centre. Several city bus lines, including 2A, 13 and 16, stop nearby on Ny Munkegade and Langelandsgade, making it easy to reach from Aarhus Central Station in around 10–15 minutes. Immediately surrounding the museum are the lawns, lakes and academic buildings of University Park, along with the Natural History Museum Aarhus just a few hundred metres away. Within roughly 1 km you also find Aarhus Botanical Gardens and their greenhouses, Vennelystparken, and the university library, creating a dense cluster of cultural and scientific institutions. A short walk south leads towards ARoS Aarhus Art Museum, Musikhuset Aarhus concert hall and the Latin Quarter, where cafés, shops and historic streets connect the campus area to the vibrant city centre.
