Henry Allards Park

Henry Allards Park is located in central Örebro, in the old town district, right next to Örebro Castle and the River Svartån, with the addresses Storgatan, Järntorget and Olaigatan running along its edges. The park used to be called Centralparken and lies in the heart of “Slottsstaden”, making it an easy stop when exploring the city centre, the castle and the surrounding cultural sights. Nearby attractions include Örebro Castle itself, which sits just beside the park and offers guided tours, historic courtyards and exhibitions only a few steps away. The riverfront promenade and the area around Stadsparken and Stadsträdgården are within a short walk, giving visitors green lawns, flowerbeds and a popular café setting in the city park. The city centre around Stortorget, with cafés, shops and St. Nicolai Church, is also very close, making it easy to combine a stroll through the park with a coffee break or a short shopping trip. The park is home to the sculptural work “Befriaren” as well as the statue of Karl XIV Johan, blending public art with everyday greenery, while further afield the extended park system includes Stadsparken and Drottningparken, all within comfortable walking distance for a full day of strolling along the river and between historic and recreational spaces.
