This monumental memorial and military cemetery commemorates the 6,845 Soviet soldiers who died liberating Bratislava from Nazi occupation in April 1945 and features a 39-meter-high obelisk topped by an 11-meter statue of a Soviet soldier with a flag. Nearby, you will find the extensive Horský Park (Mountain Park), a popular spot for walking and enjoying nature, as well as the diplomatic quarter with its grand villas and embassy residences.
