Horský Park is one of Bratislava’s most treasured natural spaces, offering a peaceful retreat in the heart of the city. Established in the late 19th century, the park was designed as an English-style landscape park, preserving its wild, forested character. It features a diverse range of trees, including yews, lindens, and ginkgo, creating a lush environment ideal for relaxation and outdoor activities. At its center stands Justi’s monument, a popular gathering spot with a scenic terrace. The park is also home to a historic lodge, which serves as a café and cultural venue, hosting events and exhibitions. Visitors can explore the Forest City Park Gallery, showcasing sculptural works by Slovak artists. Located near Slavín War Memorial, Horský Park is a favorite destination for joggers, families, and nature lovers seeking tranquility within Bratislava’s urban landscape.

Horský Park, also known as Mountain Park, is located in Bratislava’s Old Town borough, on the slopes of Kalwaria Hill northwest of the city center, bordered by Bohúňova, Majakovského, and Búdkova streets, and is one of the oldest and most valuable green spaces in the city. The park covers about 23 hectares with elevation ranging from 185 to 260 meters, offering a rugged, forested landscape with numerous paths and stairs for walking, running, and relaxation. Nearby, you will find the prominent Slavín war memorial, the Church of Our Lady of the Snows, and the Lourdes Cave, as well as the historic Horáreň gamekeeper’s house, which has been converted into a café and community center. The area is also close to the city’s diplomatic district and is just a short walk from the Old Town’s main attractions, including the Presidential Palace and the Slovak National Museum, making it a peaceful natural retreat in the heart of Bratislava.
