The Magnus Stenbock Statue is one of Helsingborg’s most iconic monuments, located in the middle of the grand Stortorget square in the absolute heart of the city. This imposing equestrian statue, unveiled in 1901, commemorates the Swedish field marshal who led his troops to victory at the Battle of Helsingborg in 1710. Its central position makes it a natural meeting point and a dominant feature of the city's architectural landscape. Situated at the western end of the square, the statue looks out toward the harbor and the nearby City Hall, standing as a proud sentinel that marks the transition between the city’s historic center and its bustling waterfront. The area surrounding the statue is a vibrant hub of culture, history, and activity, offering many of the city’s top attractions within just a few minutes' walk. Directly to the west stands the magnificent Neo-Gothic Helsingborg City Hall, with its distinctive clock tower and grand facade. Turning toward the east, you will see the monumental Terrasstrapporna, a massive set of stone stairs that leads visitors up to the medieval Kärnan tower and the scenic Slottshagen park.
