Degaičių Park

About

Degaičių Park in Telšiai is a peaceful green retreat shaped by both nature and community effort. Once a simple woodland area, it has been gradually transformed into one of the town’s most inviting recreational spaces. An interesting fact is that many of its features—sculptures, small bridges, and landscaped corners—were created through local initiatives, making the park a symbol of civic pride and cooperation. Inside the park, visitors can enjoy winding paths that lead through mature trees, ponds, and quiet clearings ideal for relaxation. Wooden sculptures inspired by Samogitian folklore add character to the landscape, while small observation spots offer views of the surrounding greenery. The park also includes a well‑maintained playground and open spaces used for seasonal events, making it a favourite for families. In spring and summer, blooming flowerbeds and shaded benches create a calm, inviting atmosphere, perfect for slow walks or peaceful breaks away from the town centre.
