Murano Art Gallery in Tivat brings the centuries‑old Venetian glass tradition into a modern Adriatic setting. Its most interesting feature is the way it blends classic Murano craftsmanship with contemporary design, showcasing pieces created by master glassmakers who work with techniques passed down since the Renaissance. Many visitors are surprised to learn that some sculptures on display were shaped using the incalmo and filigrana methods—rare, highly skilled processes that allow artists to fuse colours and patterns inside molten glass. Inside, the gallery presents a curated selection of vases, chandeliers, abstract sculptures, and delicate ornaments that reveal the versatility of Murano glass. Light plays a central role: each room is arranged so reflections, shadows, and colour shifts enhance the artworks’ fluid forms. Some exhibitions focus on marine themes, echoing Tivat’s coastal identity through wave‑like shapes and deep blue palettes. A highlight is the demonstration area, where visitors can observe the tools and materials used in traditional glassmaking, gaining insight into how sand, fire, and breath become art.

Tivat Montenegro

Location

It is located inside Porto Montenegro, at Regent Pool Club Residences, Obala bb, 85320 Tivat, Montenegro. You find it on the main marina promenade, in the Regent Pool Club building, so you are surrounded by yachts, cafes and art at the same time. Just walk along the water from the center of Porto Montenegro and you will see it. The gallery was created with the idea to bring the best of Murano glass art to Montenegro. It shows beautiful hand-made glass sculptures, decorative pieces, tableware and art objects made by real Murano masters. It is small, elegant and very different from a classic museum. In the same complex you have Gayo Gallery, another contemporary art gallery in the Regent residences. A two minute walk away is the Naval Heritage Collection Museum at 1 Blaza Jovanovica Street, with its historic submarines and Yugoslav navy collection. If you walk five minutes toward the town center you get to the big Gradski Park, the botanical city park, and inside it the Buca-Lukovic Museum and Gallery. That is a real historic complex, a 16th century fortified summer house and palace with a chapel and garden that now hosts exhibitions. Just next to the park is the PI Museum and Gallery Tivat at Culture Square 2, the main town museum with archaeology, traditional costumes and contemporary art.
