Sywell Aviation Museum

Inside, the exhibits focus on local pilots, squadrons and aircraft connected to Sywell and the wider county. The World War II collection is a highlight, featuring uniforms, logbooks, navigation tools and personal items that reveal the daily realities of RAF service. Displays on the aerodrome’s role as a training base show how thousands of pilots learned essential skills here before heading into combat. The Cold War gallery adds depth with equipment, models and memorabilia from aircraft such as the Vulcan and Lightning, reflecting Northamptonshire’s links to Britain’s strategic air defence.
