Kursaal Garden is one of Interlaken’s most elegant outdoor spaces, a landscaped park that blends Alpine scenery with Belle Époque charm. Created in the late 19th century as part of the grand Kursaal complex, it was designed to offer hotel guests and concert‑goers a refined place to stroll, relax and enjoy views of the Jungfrau. Its layout still reflects this heritage: sweeping lawns, flowerbeds arranged with geometric precision and wide paths meant for leisurely promenades. Inside the garden, the most eye‑catching feature is the floral clock, a colourful installation that changes with the seasons and has become a favourite photo spot. Nearby stands the Kursaal pavilion, a graceful structure used for concerts, exhibitions and open‑air events. Its ornate façade and large windows echo the era when Interlaken was a magnet for aristocratic travellers. The garden also includes quiet corners: shaded benches, small fountains and tree‑lined paths that offer a peaceful break from the lively Höheweg. In summer, open‑air performances and cultural gatherings bring the space to life, turning the garden into a social hub framed by mountains.

Kursaal Garden is located in the heart of Interlaken, beside the Congress Kursaal complex on Strandbadstrasse. It is one of the town’s most pleasant green spaces, known for its flower displays, floral clock, and its role as a cultural center since the 19th century. Because it sits so centrally, it is easy to combine with other attractions nearby. A short walk away you can reach the Höhematte park, the main Höheweg promenade, and the lively town center with its hotels, cafés, and shops. The area is also convenient for visitors arriving from either Interlaken West or Interlaken Ost stations. Nearby sightseeing can also include the Monastery and Interlaken Castle, the Reformierte Schlosskirche, and the Japanese Garden, all of which are within the central Interlaken area. For a fuller day out, many visitors also pair the garden with Harder Kulm or trips toward Lake Thun and Lake Brienz.
