Galerie Anhava, founded in 1991 by Ilona Anhava, is a leading Helsinki gallery dedicated to contemporary Finnish and Nordic art. Located on Fredrikinkatu, it occupies a sleek, minimalist space that reflects its curatorial focus on conceptual and visually compelling works. The gallery showcases a wide range of media, including painting, sculpture, photography, video, and installation, with a strong emphasis on long-term artist representation. Merging with Galerie Artek in 1997, it has built a reputation for fostering dialogue between artists, institutions, and audiences. Galerie Anhava maintains an active international presence through regular participation in major art fairs such as Art Basel, The Armory Show, and Paris Photo, positioning Helsinki firmly on the global art map.
