Founded in 1972 as an artist-led initiative, Glasgow Print Studio is now an internationally acclaimed centre for fine art printmaking, combining a state-of-the-art workshop with a vibrant gallery space in Trongate 103. Established to provide accessible facilities for artists, it has grown into one of Europe’s most sophisticated printmaking hubs, attracting practitioners from around the world. The workshop supports a wide range of techniques, including etching, lithography, and screen printing, enabling both emerging and established artists to develop and refine their practice under the guidance of master printers. Alongside its technical facilities, the gallery presents an ambitious programme of contemporary print exhibitions, publishes editions, and offers learning opportunities for all levels. With charitable status and support from Creative Scotland and Glasgow City Council, Glasgow Print Studio remains dedicated to innovation, collaboration, and the preservation of printmaking traditions, making it a cornerstone of Glasgow’s cultural and artistic life.
