Aqueduto de São Sebastião, known as Arcos do Jardim, is located along Calçada Martim de Freitas / Largo João Paulo II in Coimbra’s upper town (Sé Nova parish), directly beside the University of Coimbra Botanical Garden. The long line of arches borders the garden and lies on the route up to the university’s Alta district, close to the main campus buildings, the Science Museum, Sé Nova (New Cathedral), and viewpoints overlooking the historic center and the Mondego River, with pedestrian access down to the old town streets and Praça da República.
