The Cowboy Museum Fatsy (Cowboymuseum Fatsy) is located at Traundorferstraße 266 in Linz/Pichling, in the southern part of Linz, near Pichlinger See and Südpark. It is a small, private museum dedicated to cowboy and Western culture, featuring many original items from America that show how cowboys lived in the past. You can reach the museum by car via the A1 motorway, taking the ASTEN exit and continuing toward Linz; at Pichlinger See bathing lake, turn right toward Südpark and follow the signs. The museum is open from mid-May to the end of August on Saturdays and Sundays from 1 pm to 6 pm, and groups can arrange special opening hours by phone. Near the Cowboy Museum Fatsy, you can visit the nearby Pichlinger See (a pleasant lake for walks and recreation), Südpark, and the 3 Gemeinden Monument, which is a short distance away and honors the unity of three communities. From there, you can continue to main attractions in central Linz, such as Hauptplatz, the Old Town, the Old Cathedral, the Landhaus, the Lentos Art Museum, the Ars Electronica Center, and the Danube promenade, making it a good stop on a day trip that includes both local and city sights.
