Landestheater Linz is located in the city center at Promenade 39, in the Innenstadt district of Linz. It is one of the city’s main cultural venues and has a long theatrical tradition, with performances taking place here for many years. Its location makes it very easy to combine with sightseeing. Just a short walk away are the Hauptplatz, the Old Town Hall, the Old Cathedral, the Landhaus, and the Bishop’s Residence, all of which belong to Linz’s historic core. The nearby Danube promenade is also pleasant for a walk, especially before or after an evening performance. If you want to continue your visit, several of Linz’s best-known attractions are close by. These include the Lentos Art Museum, the Ars Electronica Center, and Donaupark with the Brucknerhaus.
