The Roman Catholic Basilica of St. Mary, also called the Assumption Cathedral, is located in the center of Oradea in Bihor County, western Romania. Completed in 1780, it is the largest Baroque cathedral in the country and serves as the seat of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Oradea. With its twin towers, richly decorated facade, and frescoed interior, the basilica is one of the city’s most important religious and architectural landmarks.
