Theater Matte Bern is a Swiss German–language theatre nestled in the historic Mattequartier, offering an intimate cultural experience with around 100 seats. Since its founding in 2010, it has become known for staging four to five productions annually, blending contemporary and classical works with a distinctly local voice. The theatre’s commitment to Bernese dialect and regional storytelling gives its performances a unique charm, while its riverside location adds to the atmospheric appeal.
