The Antikensammlung Bern, part of the University of Bern’s Institute for Archaeological Sciences, offers a captivating window into the classical world. Established in 1806, the collection features over 230 original plaster casts of iconic Greek and Roman sculptures, including Aphrodite, Laocoön, Cleopatra, and Augustus. These casts, once used for art education, now serve as tools for archaeological research and public engagement. Housed at Mittelstrasse 43, the museum also includes a fine selection of original ancient small-scale artworks from Greece, Etruria, and Rome.
