Located near the Atomium in Brussels, the Design Museum Brussels is a vibrant space dedicated to design from the 20th and 21st centuries. Originally founded in 2015 following the Atomium’s acquisition of the Plasticarium collection, the museum explores the evolution of design through objects, furniture, and visual culture. Its permanent Plastic Design Collection highlights the role of plastics in shaping modern aesthetics, featuring iconic works by designers such as Verner Panton and Joe Colombo. In 2020, the museum expanded with Belgisch Design Belge, a dedicated space celebrating Belgian design heritage. Through temporary exhibitions, workshops, and events, the museum engages visitors in the social and cultural impact of design, making it accessible and relevant to everyday life.
