Fondation A Stichting is a Brussels-based institution dedicated to the photographic image. Founded in 2012 by Astrid Ullens de Schooten Whettnall, it occupies a former industrial site in Forest, now a vibrant cultural neighborhood. The foundation hosts three exhibitions annually, showcasing both Belgian and international artists, and collaborates on book and exhibition projects with global institutions. Its mission is to support the creation, understanding, and preservation of photography as an art form. Recognized for its public interest role, Fondation A Stichting offers a thoughtful, curated experience that invites reflection on visual culture and contemporary photographic practices.

Fondation A Stichting is located at 304 Avenue Van Volxem, in the Forest municipality of Brussels. The foundation occupies a former industrial building that once housed the Bata factories in the south of the city, now transformed into a vibrant area for creative initiatives and residential life. Nearby, art enthusiasts can visit the renowned WIELS contemporary art centre, just steps away and internationally celebrated for its cutting-edge exhibitions.
