The park’s centrepiece is Robinson Island, home to the Chalet Robinson, a charming restaurant accessible by boat. Historically linked to La Cambre Abbey, the park also holds a curious footnote in history: British soldiers are said to have played cricket here on the eve of the Battle of Waterloo. Covering 123 hectares, this English-style landscape park forms a natural extension of the Sonian Forest, offering a tranquil retreat from the urban bustle while remaining easily accessible via Avenue Louise and public transport. The park’s gently rolling terrain features wooded areas, expansive lawns, and a picturesque artificial lake with Robinson Island at its center, home to the charming Chalet Robinson restaurant, which is accessible by boat. Bois de la Cambre is a favorite spot for walking, jogging, picnicking, and family outings, with playgrounds and pony rides available for children.
