The Musée PACCARD, located in Sevrier near Annecy, is dedicated to the art and tradition of bell‑making. Founded by the renowned Paccard family, whose foundry has produced thousands of bells for churches and monuments worldwide since 1796, the museum offers a fascinating insight into this centuries‑old craft. Visitors discover the meticulous process of casting and tuning bells, from wax molds to molten bronze, through exhibits, films, and authentic tools. The highlight is the chance to admire historic bells and learn about their symbolic role in communities across the globe. The museum also celebrates the Paccard foundry’s international reputation, including the creation of the world’s largest swinging bell. Combining industrial heritage with cultural storytelling, Musée PACCARD provides a unique experience that connects Annecy’s lakeside charm with a tradition of sound and craftsmanship that resonates far beyond the region.
