This medieval castle perches on a hill at 460 meters elevation, about 20 minutes by car from Lake Annecy, with free parking available on-site and bus access via lines L101 and L112 from Annecy's train station.​ Directly adjacent lies the dramatic Gorges du Fier canyon, featuring a suspended footbridge walkway through towering rock formations, just a 10-minute walk away for a combined visit.
