Parque de María Luisa is located in southern Seville, Spain, along the Guadalquivir River at Avenida de María Luisa, s/n, easily reached from Puerta de Jerez in the city center. Originally the gardens of San Telmo Palace donated in 1893, this expansive 34-hectare green oasis features tree-lined avenues, ponds, fountains, and pavilions from the 1929 Ibero-American Exposition. Nearby stand the grand Plaza de España with its canal and provincial tile murals, Plaza de América (also called Plaza de las Palomas) flanked by the Archaeological Museum and Museum of Arts and Costumbres Populares, Teatro Lope de Vega, and pavilions like the Costurero de la Reina across Avenida de Isabel la Católica.
