Igreja de Santa Maria is located on Praça Infante Dom Henrique, in the historic centre of Lagos, Algarve, southern Portugal, close to the waterfront and city walls. Immediately around the square you will find the former slave market building (Mercado de Escravos), the Centro Cultural de Lagos, the Casa da Janela Manuelina and other historic townhouses.
