Barragem da Fonte Coberta, also known as the Roman Dam of Fonte Coberta, is located in the Fonte Coberta area near Lagos in the Algarve region of southern Portugal, approximately 1.5 km northwest of the city center in the parish of São Gonçalo de Lagos or São Sebastião, along the bed of an ancient stream (Ribeira de Bensafrim). This classified archaeological site features a straight Roman-era wall about 36.5 m long, possibly used for irrigation or supplying water to the ancient town of Lacóbriga.
