The Igreja da Graça is one of Évora’s most distinctive architectural landmarks, known for its harmonious blend of Renaissance elegance and the expressive Manueline style. Built in the early sixteenth century, the church once formed part of a convent and played an important role in the city’s religious and cultural life. Its façade is particularly striking, crowned by four large stone figures known as the “Meninos da Graça,” which give the building a unique and memorable character. Inside, the atmosphere is serene, shaped by balanced proportions, soft light, and refined decorative details that reflect the artistic sensibilities of the period.
