Praça do Giraldo is located in the heart of Évora’s historic centre, within the UNESCO World Heritage site in Portugal’s Alentejo region, specifically in the parish of Évora (São Mamede, Sé, São Pedro e Santo Antão). This vibrant main square serves as the city's central hub, surrounded by arcaded buildings from the 16th to 18th centuries housing shops, cafés, and restaurants. Nearby are the Renaissance marble fountain at its core from 1570, the Church of St. Anthony the Great facing it directly, the Bank of Portugal on the site of the former town hall, and easy walking access to Rua 5 de Outubro leading to the Cathedral, the Roman Temple of Diana, Rua João de Deus for shopping, and connections to the Aqueduto da Água de Prata arches, all within a few hundred metres.
