The Jardim de Santa Bárbara, a charming 20th-century public garden renowned for its vibrant flowerbeds, manicured topiary, and central 17th-century fountain topped by a statue of Saint Barbara, is located in the heart of Braga’s historic center, Portugal, in the civil parish of Sé alongside the eastern wing of the medieval Archbishop's Palace (Paço Episcopal Bracarense). Nestled between Rua Justino Cruz and Rua Francisco Sanches, it offers a serene oasis amid the city’s bustling streets, easily reached on foot from key landmarks. Immediately adjacent stands the imposing Sé de Braga Cathedral to the north, one of Portugal’s oldest, while the palace’s battlemented walls form a picturesque backdrop at the garden’s southern edge, housing the Braga Public Library and Municipal Archive. Nearby, the ornate Chafariz do Castelo fountain graces Largo do Paço just a short stroll away, alongside Arco da Porta Nova and the lively Rua do Souto pedestrian street lined with cafes.
