The Sanctuary of Our Lady of Sameiro is located atop Monte do Sameiro hill in the parish of Espinho, just outside central Braga in northern Portugal, offering sweeping panoramic views over the city and Minho Valley. Situated about 4 km from Braga's historic core and roughly 2 km from the neighboring Bom Jesus do Monte sanctuary, it forms part of the city's renowned "touristic triangle" of hilltop religious sites. Nearby attractions include the striking Basilica with its dome-top viewpoints, the Chapel of the Blessed Sacrament, monumental staircases flanked by statues of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Our Lady of the Conception, expansive gardens with a children's play area, and the Casa das Estampas museum showcasing religious artifacts. Visitors can also explore forested paths leading to Bom Jesus do Monte's famous Baroque staircase and funicular, creating an ideal cluster for pilgrims and sightseers exploring Braga's sacred landscape.
