Fonte do Ídolo is located on Rua do Raio in the parish of São José de São Lázaro, right in the historic center of Braga, northern Portugal. Just across the street stands the ornate Palácio do Raio, a stunning Rococo mansion exemplifying 18th-century Portuguese architecture, while the Hospital de São Marcos lies nearby.
