Officially titled “The Tale of Śródka with a Trumpeter on the Roof and a Cat in the Background,” the artwork captures the spirit of the neighbourhood through a playful, trompe‑l’oeil composition. Its painted façades open into an imagined street scene filled with local characters, nostalgic architecture, and whimsical details that blur the line between reality and illusion. Created to celebrate the district’s revival, the mural reflects Śródka’s history as a lively trading settlement and its contemporary role as a creative, welcoming community. Mural Śródka is located in the Śródka district of Poznań, on Śródka Street at Rynek Śródecki, close to the intersection with the local market square. It sits east of Ostrów Tumski and is within easy walking distance of Poznań’s historic cathedral island.
