The University Botanical Garden in Poznań is one of the city’s most enchanting natural spaces, offering a peaceful retreat shaped by scientific curiosity and careful design. Spread across several hectares, the garden showcases thousands of plant species arranged in themed sections that guide visitors through diverse landscapes, from alpine rockeries and water gardens to collections of exotic trees and shrubs. Its winding paths, ponds and shaded corners create an atmosphere that encourages slow exploration and quiet reflection. Founded as a research and teaching facility of Adam Mickiewicz University, the garden continues to support education and conservation while welcoming the public throughout the seasons. In spring and summer it bursts with colour, while autumn highlights its rich foliage. The University Botanical Garden (Ogród Botaniczny Uniwersytetu im. Adama Mickiewicza) is located in the Ogrody district of Poznań, at Jana Henryka Dąbrowskiego 165, in the western part of the city. The garden sits just off the main east–west artery of Dąbrowskiego Street, close to the Jeżyce and Łazarz‑Ogrody neighborhoods. Nearby you will find Lake Rusałka and the recreational area around it, the Woodrow Wilson Park, the Poznań Palm House, Fort VII Historical Museum of Wielkopolska Martyrology, and the bustling commercial and cultural hub of Jeżyce, all within a short walk or tram ride.
