Dubrovin Park is one of Daugavpils’ most beloved green spaces, known for its elegant layout and deep ties to the city’s early 20th‑century development. Established in 1900, it was named after Pavel Dubrovin, a long‑serving mayor whose efforts modernised the city. The park was designed as a refined urban garden, complete with decorative flowerbeds, winding paths, and a central fountain that quickly became a favourite meeting point for residents. An interesting historical detail is the monument to Dubrovin himself, unveiled in 1910. Although it was removed during the Soviet era, the statue was restored to the park in the 2000s, symbolising a renewed appreciation for the city’s heritage. The park also features a small pond, mature trees, and seasonal floral displays that create a peaceful atmosphere in the heart of Daugavpils. Today, Dubrovin Park hosts concerts, festivals, and community events, remaining both a cultural landmark and a tranquil retreat for locals and visitors.

Dubrovin Park is a central green oasis in Daugavpils, stretching between Rīgas Street and Parādes Street, just a short walk from the main shopping streets and civic buildings. Laid out in the late 19th century with support from long‑time mayor Pavel Dubrovin, it remains one of the city’s favourite places for relaxation. Lawns, trees and a prominent fountain create a pleasant atmosphere by day and a romantic setting when illuminated in the evening. Around the park you will find several important cultural and administrative landmarks, including the Daugavpils Local History and Art Museum and the city council buildings. A few minutes away on foot lies Vienības laukums (Unity Square) with the imposing Unity House, which hosts Daugavpils Theatre and other cultural institutions. Also nearby are Latgale Zoo and Central Park, giving visitors easy options to combine a stroll in Dubrovin Park with family‑friendly attractions and further green spaces.
