Galleri Magnus Karlsson, founded in 1990, is a cornerstone of Sweden’s contemporary art scene. Originally based in Västerås, the gallery relocated to Stockholm in 1997 and now resides within the Royal Swedish Academy of Fine Arts on Fredsgatan 12. Known for championing emerging Swedish artists, it has built a strong international presence through participation in major art fairs such as Frieze London, The Armory Show in New York, and FIAC Paris. The gallery fosters long-term relationships with over 30 artists and frequently collaborates with museums and institutions across Europe. In addition to its Stockholm space, Galleri Magnus Karlsson operates Hellvi Kännungs, a summer project room in a converted limestone barn on Gotland, offering a retreat for artistic exploration and exhibitions.
