The Princess of Wales’s Royal Regiment and Queen’s Regiment Museum, housed within the historic Keep at Dover Castle, tells the story of England’s senior infantry regiment and its predecessors. Its collection spans more than 350 years of military history, from the earliest county regiments of Kent, Surrey, Sussex, and Middlesex to the modern‑day PWRR, known as “The Tigers.” Through uniforms, medals, weapons, and personal artefacts, the museum brings to life the courage, sacrifice, and camaraderie of ordinary soldiers who served in conflicts across the globe. Visitors can trace the regiment’s origins back to the 16th century, explore its role in pivotal battles such as Minden, Albuhera, and the Somme, and learn about more recent service in Iraq and Afghanistan. Interactive displays and personal stories highlight not only the regiment’s battlefield achievements but also its enduring ties to the communities of the South East. The Princess of Wales's Royal Regiment & Queen's Regiment Museum is located within the historic Keep Yard at Dover Castle in Dover, Kent. The museum is housed inside the castle's medieval fortifications and tells the stories of soldiers from the South East of England, spanning from 1572 to modern-day military service. Visitors will find it near other key Dover Castle attractions including the Great Tower, the castle grounds, and the medieval gatehouse.
