Samphire Hoe is located just west of Dover, Kent, at the foot of the dramatic Shakespeare Cliff, accessible off the A20 between Dover and Folkestone via a unique single-lane tunnel through the cliffs. This striking 30-hectare nature reserve was created using chalk marl excavated for the Channel Tunnel and offers spectacular views of the iconic White Cliffs of Dover and the English Channel. Nearby, visitors can explore Dover Castle, the White Cliffs themselves, Kearsney Parks, the Maison Dieu historic town hall, Dover Museum, and the Fan Bay Deep Shelter, all within a short drive or walk.
