Schwarzenbergturm is located on Schwarzenberg hill at Turmweg, 66123 Saarbrücken, standing at an elevation of 377 meters above sea level. Built in 1930 from reinforced concrete, this 46-meter-high observation tower offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding landscape from its platform, which is accessible by climbing 241 steps. Nearby, visitors can explore the Saarbrücken Zoo, the Europa-Institut, and the Botanischer Garten der Universität des Saarlandes, all within a short distance. The area around Schwarzenbergturm also includes forested hiking trails, making it a popular destination for both cultural sightseeing and outdoor recreation. The tower doubles as a radio communication site and is open to the public seasonally from April to October.​
