Formerly the historic “Teatro Tenda,” it was relaunched as Teatro Cartiere Carrara, strengthening its identity as a cultural landmark and a stage for major productions. For more than forty years it has hosted some of the city’s most popular shows, from concerts and comedy to family events and large‑scale performances. Recent seasons have expanded its reach even further, welcoming emerging and established artists across music, theatre and entertainment. Its spacious outdoor areas also support exhibitions, fairs and community gatherings, making it a flexible hub for public events throughout the year. Teatro Cartiere Carrara is located in the Bellariva neighbourhood on Florence's southeastern outskirts at Via Fabrizio de André at the corner of Lungarno Aldo Moro 3, 50136 Firenze, along the right bank of the Arno River. This large modern venue, with over 2,300 seats and formerly known as Tuscany Hall, occupies the site of a historic paper mill complex and is highly accessible by the T3 tram line at the nearby Vitelli stop, plus ample free and paid parking options. Nearby features include scenic riverside paths, the vibrant Campo di Marte sports area, and easy drives to the city centre or Firenze Campo di Marte train station, with the Nelson Mandela Forum arena a short distance north.
