The Maison du Patrimoine Médiéval Mosan in Dinant offers an engaging journey into the rich cultural world of the Meuse Valley during the Middle Ages. Set within a beautifully restored historic building, the museum blends atmospheric architecture with modern scenography to reveal how people lived, worked, and shaped the region’s identity. Visitors move through immersive rooms that highlight craftsmanship, religious art, daily life, and the strategic importance of the Meuse River. Interactive displays, models, and multimedia bring centuries-old stories to life, making the experience accessible for all ages. More than a museum, it is a gateway to understanding Dinant’s heritage and the broader Mosan culture that influenced art and society across the region.

Maison du patrimoine médiéval mosan is located at Place du Bailliage 16 in Bouvignes-sur-Meuse, a historic medieval quarter just north of central Dinant on the left bank of the Meuse River. It is housed in the 16th‑century “Maison espagnole”, a Renaissance-style building set a short walk across the Charles de Gaulle Bridge from Dinant’s town centre and close to the riverfront. Nearby you will find the narrow streets and old houses of Bouvignes, the Meuse Valley viewpoints, and it lies only a few minutes by car or about a 15–20 minute walk from Dinant’s main sights such as the Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame and the Citadel of Dinant across the river.
