The Castle of Crevecoeur, or Château de Crèvecœur, is located in Bouvignes-sur-Meuse, a historic district just north of Dinant on the left bank of the Meuse River in Belgium. Perched on a rocky cliff 80 meters above the river valley, its ruins feature a 14th-century square keep and 15th-century bastille, offering stunning panoramic views and accessible via walking paths year-round. Overlooking Bouvignes' medieval streets and Sint-Lambertus Church directly below, it lies close to Maison du Patrimoine Médiéval Mosan in the nearby Maison Espagnole. A short distance south brings you to Dinant's centre across the river, including the Citadel of Dinant, Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame, and Charles de Gaulle Bridge with its saxophones, all reachable by a scenic riverside walk of about 1.5-2 km. The area's old walls, towers, and natural trails enhance exploration around this medieval site.
