The Collegiate Church of Notre-Dame is located in the heart of Dinant, Wallonia, Belgium, on the right bank of the Meuse River at Place Reine Astrid, directly at the foot of the towering Citadel and serving as a central landmark with its distinctive 16th-century pear-shaped onion dome. This 13th-century Gothic masterpiece in the Meuse style, built from local gray limestone after a 1228 collapse, anchors the town's historic core amid bustling quays. Immediately adjacent are the iconic Charles de Gaulle Bridge lined with giant saxophones, vibrant riverside cafés and shops, Maison Adolphe Sax, and Maison de la Pataphonie within a few minutes' walk, while the Citadel looms above reachable by cable car or stairs, and Grotte La Merveilleuse with Maison Leffe lies just across the river to the south.
